AEW Dynamite Up Big, NXT Down In March 3 Viewership

Last night was a big night for All Elite Wrestling and it has paid off in the form of viewership. With it being Thursday, the viewership figures for both AEW Dynamite and NXT have been revealed.

Showbuzz Daily has reported that Dynamite garnered a whopping 934,000 average viewers. Meanwhile, NXT brought in 692,000 average viewers. AEW was up 103,000 viewers from last week’s average of 831,000, while NXT dropped 42,000 viewers from last week’s 734,000 viewers.

Dynamite featured the highly anticipated in-ring debut of Shaquille O’Neal as he and Jade Cargill defeated Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. The show was also the go-home show for the Revolution pay per view. As such, several segments served to progress the multiple storylines culminating at Revolution.

On NXT, there were several announcements of matches to come next week. It was announced that Finn Balor would defend the NXT Championship against Adam Cole and Io Shirai would defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm on next week’s NXT. This week’s show also featured a main event match between Balor and Roderick Strong.
