AEW Dynamite Up, NXT Down In March 17 Viewership

It is Thursday once again and thus the viewership for AEW Dynamite and NXT have been revealed. As has become a pattern, All Elite Wrestling had a good week while NXT did not.

Showbuzz Daily has reported the viewership for both shows. Dynamite came in at 768,000 average viewers while NXT garnered 597,000 average viewers. Also, Dynamite produced a 0.41 rating in the key 18-49 male demographic while NXT produced a 0.13.

AEW was up slightly from last week, drawing 25,000 more viewers than last week’s average of 743,000. NXT, however, was down significantly, drawing 94,000 less viewers than last week’s average of 691,000 viewers.

AEW Dynamite featured a heavily promoted main event as Britt Baker took on Thunder Rosa in a Lights Out match. This was the first main event in Dynamite history to feature the women’s division with the match receiving universal praise since.

NXT saw the return of WALTER to the brand. WALTER has been kept exclusively in NXT UK since the start of the pandemic due to the travel restrictions in place. NXT is currently building towards their next TakeOver event, which is scheduled to take place the week of WrestleMania.
