AEW Dynamite Viewership Down Slightly AEW

AEW Dynamite viewership figures for this week have been revealed and overall they were down slightly.

Overall, 977,000 viewers were drawn to TBS to watch AEW Dynamite, according to Showbuzz Daily down slightly from last week’s 989,000 viewers.

Dynamite fell a bit short in the key people 18-49 years old demographic with a decrease from the past week, accounting for only 486,000 viewers (0.37) which is down from last week which drew the attention of 496,000 viewers (0.38) whereas the show had remained steady over the past weeks.

Tony Khan, President and Head of Creative for All Elite Wrestling recently spoke to Barstool Rasslin’ where he described his booking style in Hollywood terminology terms, comparing booking AEW Dynamite to making a film; sometimes opting to book for a ‘Blockbuster’ (ratings win) versus electing to book for an ‘Arthouse’ film, which is intentionally designed for storytelling purposes or to allow time for the best possible showcase of wrestling.

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite included seven pre-announced matches to make for a stacked card featuring Minoru Suzuki vs. Samoa Joe, Penta Oscuro vs. CM Punk, Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland and MJF in action vs. Captain Shawn Dean.
