AEW Dynamite Viewership Slightly Down, Still Finishes #1 On Cable For March 9 AEW

The viewership figure and demo rating for Wednesday’s (March 9) edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS has been revealed.

Per Brandon Thruston, last night’s show drew 945,000 viewers and 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The total viewership was slightly down by 2% from the March 2 episode, which drew 966,000 viewers.

This was good enough for AEW Dynamite to finish at #1 on cable for the evening.

In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite drew 516,000 viewers. This was up by 12% from last week’s show, which drew a 0.35 rating and 460,000 viewers.

Tony Khan was happy about the ratings success for last night’s episode, tweeting:

Thank you wrestling fans who helped make #AEWDynamite the number 1 ranked show on cable/satellite yesterday! It’s been an amazing week for @AEW already with a great Revolution ppv + Dynamite ranked #1 on Wednesday, + we’re back tomorrow for Friday Night #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama!

The post-AEW Revolution episode featured the debut of Jeff Hardy with a Hardy Boyz reunion with brother Matt and Hangman Page defeating Dante Martin to retain the AEW World Title.

Also on the show, Scorpio Sky defeated Sammy Guevara to win the TNT Championship in the main event.
