When thinking of the most beloved AEW stars, many names come mind.
The Elite, Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy, just to name a few.
Well we now have AEW fans’ new hero. Meet Action Andretti!
Andretti was the opponent of former ROH World Champion Chris Jericho on tonight’s (December 14) episode of AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming.
Andretti was not a full-time AEW wrestler, so obviously him wrestling the former eight-time World Champion was supposed to be a simple squash victory for the Ocho.
It was not to be, as Andretti kicked out of the Codebreaker heading into a commercial break.
In the end, Andretti scored the biggest upset in the history of AEW, pinning Chris Jericho to score the upset victory.
After the match, Tony Khan tweeted that Andretti has officially signed with AEW.
