AEW Dynamite & WWE NXT Segment-By-Segment Viewers Revealed (December 16)

The quarter-hour viewership breakdown for this past Wednesday’s episodes of AEW Dynamite on TNT and WWE NXT on the USA Network has been revealed.

In terms of overall viewership, Dynamite drew 995,000 viewers (0.45 in 18-49), while NXT drew 659,000 viewers (0.17 in 18-49).

  • Quarter 1 – AEW opened with Adam Page & Alex Reynolds & John Silver vs Matt Hardy and Private Party, doing 1,010,000 viewers (512,000 in 18-49); NXT opened with Austin Theory & Johnny Gargano vs Kushida & Leon Ruff, doing 743,000 viewers (230,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 2 – AEW had an Inner Circle interview, the Cody & Brandi Rhodes pregnancy announcement, and the start of Cody Rhodes vs Angelico, doing 826,000 viewers (410,000 in 18-49); NXT had a Legado Del Fantasma promo, a Shotzi Blackheart interview, and the start of Tommaso Ciampa vs Tyler Rust, doing 734,000 viewers (247,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 3 – AEW had the end of Rhodes vs Angelico, the post-match with Team Taz, Darby Allin and Sting, a Miro backstage interview, and an Eddie Kingston in-ring promo which led to a brawl between Kingston, The Butcher & The Blade vs Lance Archer & Death Triangle, doing 843,000 viewers (405,000 in 18-49); NXT had the end of Ciampa vs Rust, and and Grizzled Young Veterans video package, doing 695,000 viewers (223,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 4 – AEW had a Dustin Rhodes promo, and the 12-man Inner Circle vs Best Friends, Top Flight & Varsity Blondes tag match, doing 835,000 viewers (413,000 in 18-49); NXT had the first half of Kyle O’Reilly vs Pete Dunne, doing 742,000 viewers (246,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 5 – AEW had the rest of the 12-man tag, and a backstage segment with Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa, doing 726,000 viewers (400,000 in 18-49); NXT had the rest of O’Reilly vs Dunne, doing 843,000 viewers (293,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 6 – AEW had the Acclaimed vs Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian, the post-match with the Young Bucks, and a Top Flight interview, doing 746,000 viewers (399,000 in 18-49); NXT had a Rhea Ripley interview, a Boa/Xia Li torture video, Indi Hartwell vs Shotzi Blackheart and the post-match, doing 801,000 viewers (271,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 7 – AEW had Big Swole & Serena Deeb vs Ivelisse & Diamante and the post-match, doing 741,000 viewers (406,000 in 18-49); NXT had Karrion Kross vs Desmond Troy, and Isaiah Scott interview, and an Ever-Rise interview, doing 764,000 viewers (251,000 in 18-49)
  • Quarter 8 – AEW had Kenny Omega vs Joey Janela in a no DQ match and the post-match with Death Triangle, doing 718,000 viewers (419,000 in 18-49); NXT had Rhea Ripley vs Toni Storm, doing 772,000 viewers (241,000 in 18-49)
