Absent Star Backstage At AEW Dynasty

AEW Dynasty took place on April 6, 2025, in Philadelphia, and an absent star was reportedly present backstage.

Having been absent since WrestleDream in October 2024, it was reported that Bryan Danielson was backstage at the recent AEW pay-per-view.

Details on Danielson’s presence was reported by PW Insider, stating that they were able to confirm that he was at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia and was there all night.

No details for what Danielson was doing backstage were revealed, although he has previously stated that he was in “not great” physical condition.

With Danielson holding his health as his priority, he would also state that there’s a “50-50” possibility of him wrestling again.

Danielson has been seen backstage at AEW Dynamite previously, with a past report noting that he was working with the company despite his talent contract having expired.

In February 2016 during his WWE run, the then-Daniel Bryan was forced to retire due to medical reasons, but was able to make a return to in-ring action in March 2018.

His only public wrestling appearance since WrestleDream was at the AEW All In ticket sales rally in December 2024.
