WWE Hall Of Famer Says AEW Relationship ‘Not As Good Anymore’

WWE Hall Of Famer Says AEW Relationship ‘Not As Good Anymore’ AEW

A frequent critic of the issues he sees with AEW, a WWE Hall of Famer has confirmed that his relationship with the company isn’t positive.

Eric Bischoff has made a small number of appearances on AEW television since 2020 but has frequently called out the company and owner Tony Khan for issues that he sees.

Bischoff has now addressed his relationship with AEW, saying:

“Yeah that one (the AEW relationship) is not as good anymore, but that was my choice.”

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Bischoff went on to say:

“I knew when I said what I was going to say that it would be the last time I get invited there.

“I was fine with that.

“I don’t worry about it.

“It is what it is.”

Bischoff looked back at his first appearance on AEW in August 2020 and how WWE responded, saying:

“But when I was bouncing back between WWE and AEW, the first time I got a call from AEW, I called Bruce Prichard.

“I said that I just want to let you know out of courtesy and respect for our friendship, I am still tight with Bruce, please let Vince know if he has got a question about this or an issue, please give me a shout.

“If not, I am going to go ahead.

“I got the word back to go and have a ball.

“It’s just communication and common courtesy.”

He last appeared on AEW television on the May 28 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite, hosting a party for the Inner Circle.

Bischoff’s criticism of AEW covers a wide range of topics from their handling of CM Punk, to booking “excuses for matches” and much more.

Khan hasn’t been silent over Bischoff’s criticism, however, recently calling his words “ironic”.
