An AEW faction seemingly underwent a babyface turn on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, with a top star potentially removed.
Former AEW World Champion MJF officially joined the Hurt Syndicate back in May after weeks of attempting to join the group due to his prior relationship with MVP.
MJF joined the group as a way for him to get back the AEW World Championship, with him winning the Men’s Casino Gauntlet match at All In Texas to earn a future shot at the title.
However, it seems he may have to go it alone, as tensions between he and Bobby Lashley flared back up on tonight’s Dynamite show.
Earlier in the night, Cope came to the ring to announce he had struck a deal with the Hurt Syndicate to take out FTR, as Cope was unable to do so due to a restraining order placed on him by Stokely following All In Texas.
Later in the night, Renee Paquette asked MVP about the Syndicate’s business with Cope, with MJF storming into the locker room also demanding an explanation.
The segment ended with Lashley manhandling MJF, before telling him that he wants him OUT of the group, before Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP all left the locker room, seemingly abandoning MJF.
AEW World Tag Team Champion @fightbobby has officially lost his patience with @The_MJF!
