The venue and location for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 has now been confirmed, with the date for the event previously being announced.
With the 2025 edition of the pay-per-view taking place in London, England, this marks the first time in its near four-year history that the event will take place outside of the United States and Canada.
While it was previously announced that the event would be taking place on August 24 in London, England, a venue for the event hadn’t been announced, until now.
Speaking on BBC London News, Tony Khan confirmed that Forbidden Door 2025 will emanate from London, England’s The O2, which had been the home of the July 2023 WWE Money in the Bank.
More recently, the 20,000 capacity venue saw WWE Raw & SmackDown take place as part of the Road to WrestleMania 41 tour of Europe.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will be the first time that the company has run an event at The O2, with Wembley Stadium having previously hosted All In.
The 2025 AEW All In takes place on July 12, at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, with Tony Khan stating that the 2026 show will return to the United Kingdom.
Also confirmed by the official AEW Twitter account was the debut of Dynamite and Collision in Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday, August 20.
Both shows will emanate from the OVO Hydro, the largest entertainment venue in Scotland capable of seating 13,000 and the home of WWE Clash at the Castle in June 2024.
As announced by AEW CEO @TonyKhan exclusively to @1AaronPaul of @BBCLondonNews, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will be held on Sunday, 24 August at the @TheO2 in London, UK!
