An AEW star has reflected on their Forbidden Door match, describing the ‘nerve-racking’ experience they initially went through.
The August 2025 AEW pay-per-view saw Mercedes Mone retain the TBS Championship against Alex Windsor, Persephone and Bozilla.
Marking the first time that Windsor had performed in an AEW in front of her home country fans, the star recently reflected on the moment.
Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, opened up about her feelings ahead of the match, describing the ‘stressful day’, saying:
“I think there are so many factors that were nerve-racking. Being in front of your home country is amazing, but it also adds that little bit of pressure.
“Because we found out (who was in the match) one by one, it was adding that extra bit of excitement. When it was all four of us, it was like, okay, this is going to be absolutely sick.
“It was a stressful day, I won’t lie, so stressful, but the payoff was just incredible.”

While the buildup may have been an emotional time for Windsor, she would go on to reveal that she was overcome when she returned backstage, stating:
“I got backstage afterwards and was just like, I don’t know what to do, I don’t know whether to cry, whether to be happy, whether to just stuff my face, whether to drink, there were so many emotions flying around that day.”

Windsor has since challenged Mone for the TBS Championship once again, being unable to dethrone her on the September 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
