A former AEW star has addressed his current WWE run, responding to a claim that he appeared more for his previous promotion.
Following his run with AEW from 2019 to 2023, Brian Pillman Jr joined WWE, where he established himself as “Lexis King”.
King has taken to Twitter to respond to a user who asked where he was, claiming that King appeared more for AEW than he currently does for WWE.
Lexis King stated this was false, pointing out that he has wrestled 17 times on WWE TV this year, with four months still to go before the end of 2024.
Comparing his WWE and AEW runs, King wrote:
This is a false statement. I have wrestled 17 matches on NXT live television just this year alone.
That is likely 3x more TV time than my entire 3 year AEW career… 👑
King wrestled just 26 matches on Dynamite, Rampage or at a pay-per-view during the four years he was with AEW, with most of his matches for the promotion taking place on the Dark YouTube show.
King last wrestled on the August 13 NXT episode, defeating Eddy Thorpe in singles action.
