Four AEW Departures Officially Confirmed

Four AEW Departures Officially Confirmed AEW

Four AEW departures have now been officially confirmed following their removal from the company’s website roster page.

Following the expiry of their AEW contracts, Jake Hager, Mark Henry and Arn Anderson have all had their exits confirmed via their removal from the page.

As well as those three names, another star was also removed, but unlike Hager, Henry and Anderson, her status within the company has been questioned for quite some time – that being former UFC fighter Paige VanZant.

It was reported in late April that VanZant had departed AEW, but she had curiously remained on the company’s roster page then until now.

Given that VanZant hadn’t appeared on AEW TV in almost two years by that point, it’s unclear when exactly she finished up with AEW or what the nature of her deal was, but now we at least have confirmation via the roster page.

What was more clear was the situation surrounding Hager, Henry and Anderson, who all had contracts expiring at the end of May/beginning of June.

According to BodySlam.net Hager was a free agent as of May 28, with the former WWE star reportedly not extending his deal with the company in what was called a “mutual” decision.

Anderson and Henry both themselves confirmed the news of their departures – with Anderson breaking the news on his ARN podcast, while Henry did the same on Busted Open Radio.

In the short few days he’s been a free agent, Henry has already appeared at another wrestling company’s event – click here for full details.

We’ll provide further updates on the future moves of all names departing the company as/when they become available.

Similarly, three names were removed from the WWE roster page today, which you can read more about at this link.
