AEW star Konosuke Takeshita has commented on his match being pulled from the May 1 edition of Rampage.
Takeshita was initially announced for a singles match against London Lightning on this live episode, which emanated from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
This bout ultimately didn’t take place, with only three of the four scheduled matches making TV.
In an interview with DDT-Pro Wrestling, Takeshita noted that he was only told that his match had been cut when he was preparing to make his entrance.
Addressing his frustrations with this decision, Takeshita noted:
“Its been a few weeks since I got to be on air and due to (the nature of) the live broadcast my match was cut. I was already waiting at the entrance gate with my gown on when I was told so.
“I carried all those frustrating emotions of that moment into that one match in Budokan. There was that feeling that I didn’t want to lose to them either.”
Takeshita recently addressed other comments from this interview which caused concern within his fanbase, which you can read more about right here.
