Championship Match Announced For AEW Full Gear 2024 AEW

A championship match has been announced for this Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view (November 23).

The sixth annual AEW Full Gear event is the company’s penultimate PPV offering of 2024, emanating from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Following Wednesday’s go-home edition of AEW Dynamite the card was set to feature nine matches, one of those taking place on the Zero Hour pre-show (‘Big Boom’ AJ Vs. QT Marshall).

However, on Friday, November 22, just a day prior to Full Gear taking place, Tony Khan has now announced a 10th contest for the PPV card.

Taking to Twitter, Khan confirmed that AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will defend his title against Ricochet at Saturday’s event.

Khan wrote:

Saturday 11/23 Newark, NJ #AEWFullGear ppv AEW International Title Match @Takesoup vs @KingRicochet

With the rivalry running red hot for weeks on @AEWonTV, the International Title will be at stake in the fight that the AEW fans want to see:

Takeshita vs Ricochet

THIS SATURDAY!

Takeshita vs. Ricochet will be a rematch of sorts from October’s AEW WrestleDream event, where The Alpha took on both Ricochet and Will Ospreay in a three-way.

However, Takeshita would pin Ospreay to win the championship on that night, with Ricochet yet to be pinned on AEW TV.
