Update On Potential Future AEW Video Games AEW

Aubrey Edwards may not have been involved in AEW: Fight Forever but has revealed that she is involved in future video game projects.

Aside from being an AEW official, she is the company’s project coordinator and a video game developer in her own right.

Speaking to the Under The Ring podcast, Edwards reflected on the success of AEW: Fight Forever, saying:

“I’m really proud of Fight Forever. I was not actually involved with the team and Fight Forever, but the team that was did an incredible job.

“I know a lot of those guys, like Kenny Omega, had never developed a game before, so going through that process and having made — I previously worked on 12 separate video games before joining AEW, so kind of seeing how that sausage gets made, and seeing someone go through that process for the first time. Like, I know what that feels like. I know those blood, sweat, and tears all too well.

“I’m so, so incredibly proud of everyone behind the scenes for pulling that off.”

Tony Khan has recently expressed his happiness over Fight Forever’s sales and hoped that the “really exciting developments” will continue the interest in the video game.

Edwards would go on to reveal that, although she wasn’t involved in Fight Forever’s development, she is involved in other projects, stating:

“I’m working on other stuff for AEW Games that I can’t talk about yet. It’s super, super exciting.

“So previously, I’d worked on AEW Elite General Manager, which was our mobile General Manager simulator that came out about two years ago.

“Yeah, I’m working on some other titles. We’ll just say that.”

AEW Elite General Manager is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

In June 2023, AEW filed a trademark application for the term “AEW: Rise To The Top” in the category of “game software”.

Previously, Warner Bros Discovery and AEW announced that AEW: Fight Figures would be released in 2024 as a “new casual mobile game.”
