Will Ospreay has made a gentlemen’s agreement with Ricochet for their upcoming match in the AEW Continental Classic tournament.
With Ospreay and Ricochet destined to meet in Gold League action, AEW recently confirmed that this bout will take place on the December 21 Collision episode.
While the two rivals have faced off several times in AEW, neither star has scored a decisive victory over the other.
Ahead of December 21, Ospreay has taken to Twitter to propose a measure to Ricochet to ensure that one person has their arm raised at the end of their match.
Proposing a ‘stand & bang’, where they meet in the middle of the ring if there’s one minute left on the clock, Ospreay wrote:
Gentlemen’s agreement.
If there is one minute before the time elapses. You & me stand in the middle of the ring and throw bombs till one of us drops. Holloway style.
Stand & Bang. I ain’t drawing with you again. #AEWCollision
Ricochet shared a UFC GIF seemingly confirming that he’s willing to follow Ospreay’s proposal.
Ospreay and Ricochet first fought in AEW on the October 2 Dynamite episode. This match was restarted after both men pinned each other simultaneously, before ultimately ending in a no-contest following Konosuke Takeshita’s interference.
The duo faced Takeshita in a threeway International Title bout at WrestleDream, which Takeshita ultimately won.
