Tony Khan Touts AEW Grand Slam Australia As ‘One Of The Biggest Gates In AEW History’ AEW

AEW Grand Slam Australia takes place on February 15, 2025, and Tony Khan has revealed that the show will be one of the biggest gates in the promotion’s history.

The upcoming show takes place at the Brisbane Entertainment Center with it recently being revealed that AEW ROH Global Wars will also take place on Saturday.

Tony Khan has now revealed that the company’s Australia debut is one of the biggest live gates in the history of AEW during an interview with Fightful Wrestling, saying:

“This is one of our biggest international events ever.

“It’s one of our biggest gates in the history of AEW and we’re really excited for that.”

Khan also revealed that the show isn’t just one of the biggest gates in AEW’s history, it’s the biggest international live gate outside of their London show, stating:

“Outside of Wembley Stadium in London, this going to be, I believe, our biggest international live gate of all time.”

Khan would also reveal that the promoters in Brisbane wanted him to bring AEW to the capital of Queensland, noting the great fanbase in Australia.

To date, AEW has run two shows in London, England with the 2023 and 2024 All In emanating from Wembley Stadium.

January 2025 marked the first time that AEW had run in Japan, co-producing Wrestle Dynasty with NJPW, ROH, Stardom and CMLL.

AEW Grand Slam Australia is set to air on February 15 at 10.30pm Eastern with the show show being a two-hour Collision.
