AEW Grand Slam week just got bigger with even more matches added to the cards for both AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage!
When Tony Khan promises that more matches are set to be added to something, by golly more matches are added!
AEW Rampage last night saw several announcements regarding the big upcoming week of Grand Slam themed programming on AEW coming to fans from New York’s Arthur Ashe stadium.
Below you can find the updated cards for the Grand Slam editions of AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage!
AEW Dynamite on September 21st is set to feature major matches including the AEW World Championship final between Blackpool Combat Club members, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.
The AEW World Tag Team Championship will also be defended on the show as Swerve in our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) take on The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.)
Also announced, Claudio Castagnoli will defend his Ring of Honor World Championship against Chris Jericho who noted that one wrestling promotion he hasn’t held the World title in is ROH.
Also, the AEW All-Atlantic Championship will be on the line as PAC defends against Orange Cassidy.
Finally for AEW Dynamite, the AEW Interim Women’s World champion Toni Storm will look to ward off formidable opponents in Athena, Serena Deeb and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. in a four woman match for the interim title.
So far announced for the special two hour edition of AEW Rampage to fit the Grand Slam theme, mutiple exciting matches including bring backstage drama into the ring as fans finally get to see Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara square off.
Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks will see their feud finally hit a major moment in the ring, with Rey Fenix and Jungle Boy also set to meet for the first time.
In addition to the announced Golden Ticket Battle Royal there will also be a No DQ match between Sting and Darby Allin taking on Brody King and Buddy Matthews of the House of Black.
Also announced, Jade Cargill will defend her TBS Championship against Diamante who pledged to bring “the OG baddie” from the 305, the baddest in fact to the match.
If this actually ends up being a Trina reference, somebody owes me a Diet Dr. Pepper!
Finally, another rapper (Action Bronson) will team with HOOK to take on Matt Menard and Angelo Parker of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
