AEW looks to be set to compete head-to-head with another company in December.
In October, All Elite Wrestling had to move their weekly Wednesday program Dynamite to Tuesday night and go head-to-head with WWE NXT.
This brought back the days of the Wednesday Night Wars when both shows went against each other each week.
NXT will compete with a Tony Khan-led wrestling promotion once again when NXT Deadline airs on the same day as ROH Final Battle 2022 on December 10.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that AAA is currently planning to broadcast their December 28 show from Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico live and will be doing English commentary for the event.
Although not confirmed by Meltzer, AAA major events with English commentary usually stream live on FITE TV. This suggests that the Acapulco event will be available to view on FITE at the same time as AEW Dynamite.
Meltzer also noted that commentary would be done live and not remote unlike AAA TripleMania XXX: Mexico City in October.
It should be noted that AAA and AEW have a working relationship and several AEW stars are listed to appear at the Acapulco event.
AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR are scheduled to defend their titles against Dragon Lee and Dralistico. Meanwhile, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo will face the teams of Octagon Jr. and Lady Shani and Komander and Sexy Star in a three-way match.
The main event of the show will see new AEW star Bandido challenge Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship.
