An AEW star has responded to an ‘I Quit’ challenge following recent events at All Out and the September 24 episode of Dynamite.
The September 20 AEW pay-per-view saw Darby Allin and Jon Moxley compete in a coffin match, with the Death Riders leader taking the victory.
Backstage, however, things ended differently, with Allin taking advantage of Moxley dismissing The Death Riders for a “moment” with his defeated foe.
Allin would break out of the coffin, stuffing Moxley into a body bag and setting it on fire, with the former AEW World Champion now reflecting on his fire-wielding foe and answering a challenge made to him on Dynamite.
Responding to Darby Allin’s challenge for an I Quit match at WrestleDream, Jon Moxley said:
“The other day I was thinking, when I was peeling melted skin off the back of my legs, man, this is dangerously close to getting personal.
“For a year, I’ve shown Darby Allin patience and mercy, and he’s continually thrown it back in my face.
“I don’t know why, but I kept thinking maybe when you were in a box, or on the top of a mountain somewhere, maybe it’d click in your head, and you’d finally get it – if anybody would get this, I thought it’d be you – you’d finally understand what I’m doing. But you’re not going to get it, you just want me to play your game, and I’ve played that game before, for many, many years.
“I believe in simple answers to difficult questions. How do I make Darby Allin stop, go away? How do I get rid of Darby Allin?
“It’s very simple. He thought he was going to take everything away from me, that was never going to happen. But everything that Darby Allin has built himself into, the spirit of Darby Allin, everything that is you, you will hand it over to me.

This came after Allin made his presence felt on the September 24 Dynamite, wielding a flamethrower to disperse The Death Riders during Kris Statlander’s defense of the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mina Shirakawa.
Statlander would go on to retain, with Allin challenging Moxley to an “I Quit” match at AEW WrestleDream on October 18.
That match is the first to be revealed for the upcoming AEW pay-per-view, with the card, as it emerges, found here.
