AEW Star Discusses Influence Will Ospreay Has Had On Their Career AEW

AEW star Kyle Fletcher has discussed the influence that AEW International Champion Will Ospreay has had on his career.

On the September 11 edition of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher teamed for the first time as a duo in the company to win the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet Match.

The duo have been aligned in the United Empire since Fletcher’s time on the independent scene, but their friendship is goes back even further.

Speaking with The Outerhaven, Kyle Fletcher discussed the influence that Will Ospreay has had on his career. He said:

“I think that was a big reason why I fell in love with the UK scene, which obviously led to me moving there when I turned 18 and going through the independents there,”

“Then when I got to the UK … every time he was in the ring, I made sure to watch it, because I was in awe of what he could do. Then finally, when I got to get in the ring with him, I learned so much from him.”

After explaining that Ospreay offered him a spare room to stay in his home in the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fletcher said:

“I think that has had the biggest influence on making me want to become a better person in general,”

“I want to treat people better, I want to act a certain way because I see him acting this way. So I think it goes much further than in the ring, I think he’s had an influence on the man I am today, and I could not be more grateful for that.”

Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher will challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships next Wednesday, September 25 at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
