AEW Star Reveals Instagram Account Was Hacked After CM Punk Post AEW

Ricky Starks has now stated that his Instagram account was hacked, following a post about former AEW World Champion CM Punk.

On September 2, AEW and Tony Khan announced that they had terminated the contracts of CM Punk with cause.

Punk’s termination came following the investigation into the backstage incident at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.

Following Punk’s AEW departure, Ricky Starks took to his Instagram Story this week with a photo of himself with the controversial star, writing:

“public flowers for you man @cmpunk Thank you”

Starks has now noted that his Instagram account had been hacked, writing:

Ok I got it all cleared up. Thanks for letting me know something was fishy about the acct lol.

I hope no one clicked the link. Account was hacked/spam but we back

You can view photos of these posts below.

Following this, the CM Punk flowers story post was deleted.

It is worth noting that it is currently unclear whether or not the hacking had anything to do with Starks deleting the post. It isn’t clear whether the hackers created the CM Punk post, or if Starks did, and removed it for another reason.

Starks commented on a Twitter/X post on Monday (September 11) showing respect to both Bryan Danielson and CM Punk, which is still up at the time of writing.

We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
