AEW Interim World Championship Match Set For Quake At The Lake

AEW Interim World Championship Match Set For Quake At The Lake AEW

Tonight’s Fight for the Fallen edition of AEW Dynamite (July 27) saw a former AEW Champion challenge Jon Moxley for title shot at Quake at the Lake.

Coming up in two weeks, AEW Dynamite invades Minneapolis, Minnesota for AEW Dynamite ‘Quake at the Lake’ which will see a rematch several years in the making.

After Jon Moxley competed in a challenging match against Rush to retain his Interim AEW World Championship, he was met by Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society who interrupted his moment of victory.

The celebration was short lived as Mox’s music was interrupted by the sounds of Judas and the Jericho Appreciation Society appeared to greet the “AEW Galaxy” with Angelo Parker commanding the fans to “Appreciate us!”

While Jericho informed Moxley that he wanted his Championship rematch, Moxley had a stipulation.

He didn’t want any of Jericho’s “pathetic” sports entertainment BS, he wants the Lionheart!

Telling Jericho:

“I don’t want the King of Trademarks or whatever your name is this week, the guy I used to see on VHS tapes… the guy from Super J Cup, I want the Lion Heart! And if the AEW World Championship is going to be defended on my watch, it will be Jon Moxley versus the Last Survivor of the Hart Dungeon, Lion Hart Chris Jericho, because this is for the world championship baby, anybody else but the best need not apply!”
