WWE Hall Of Famer Addresses Celebrities In Wrestling

A WWE Hall of Famer and third-generation promoter has addressed their feelings about celebrities being involved in the wrestling scene.

With recent appearances from Bad Bunny and Logan Paul securing media attention for WWE, AEW’s Jeff Jarrett spoke to Steve Fall on the subject of celebrities.

Alongside Jay Lethal, Jarrett expressed his opinion in the wrestlingnews.co interview, saying:

“You asking this question. circles back around just where professional wrestling/sports entertainment fits in today’s pop culture. It is right in the middle of it.

“I mean, we could go down the list. You know Paul Walter Hauser, a recent multi-time award-winning actor. We could go down the list with Shaq and a couple of you mentioned.

“I mean the most popular streamed artists in the world Bad Bunny. I know he’s for the other company but professional wrestling is a part of pop culture in so many ways.

“So for a third generation promoter, it does my heart well and to be performing in Las Vegas this weekend, Dynamites in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Sunday we’re going to T-Mobile, that says a lot.”

In the interview, Lethal would note that they took his Golden Globe and that Hauser didn’t stand up for himself, though he’s welcome to come back to “try and get his Golden Globe back.”

Lethal would also extend an offer to any actors affected by the ongoing writers’ strike to step through the “forbidden door” at AEW.

AEW head to Las Vegas for Double or Nothing this weekend.
