AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has revealed that he was recently and unexpectedly rushed to the hospital.
In February 2024, Ross revealed that he was using a cane and improving daily with his “broken hip responding well”.
The veteran announcer has also revealed that he underwent cancer surgery on his right hip on February 1, 2024.
In an update on his health posted on May 23, 2024, Ross tweeted:
“Unexpected trip to ER in Norman this morning.
“Shortness of the breath.
“That’s all for now.”
In early March, Ross revealed that he had signed a new one-year contract with AEW, saying it was the “quickest and easiest negotiation I have ever done in my career of 50 years.”
Ross later revealed that “Tony Khan hired (him) back to do pay-per-views”, though didn’t rule out the possibility of “doing a Collision on the go-home show”.
Ross recently appeared on commentary for the main event of AEW Dynasty on April 21, 2024, which saw Swerve Strickland beat Samoa Joe to become the new AEW World Champion.
WrestleTalk wishes Jim Ross well in his recovery.
