Jon Moxley Explains Why He Attacked Bryan Danielson At AEW All Out AEW

To open tonight’s AEW Dynamite, there was a chilling explanation from Jon Moxley regarding why he attacked Bryan Danielson at All Out.

Moxley noted that he had thought he was building something with Danielson, a legacy that could extend beyond their careers, but it turned out to not be the case.

In the clip, Moxley speaks directly to Danielson at one point, saying:

“Mr Patience, Mr Empathy, ‘Mr Greatest Man I’ve Ever Known’, I look around and all I see is egos out of control everywhere I look, it permeates AEW. It’s crawling with egos out of control and I can’t take it anymore!

“Blood alone moves the wheels of history. Our mentor called Bryan Danielson the perfect wrestler, Bryan was always the Lordship’s favorite. But he saw himself in me, and I am, Lord knows, far from perfect…

“I am no villain, I am no hero. Now I know exactly why God put me here – I am the one true King of these lands.

“We’ve tried your way Bryan, diplomacy has failed. Today I choose war.”

The “mentor” and “Lordship” that Moxley was referring to was the original Blackpool Combat Club founder, William Regal, who’s now back with WWE.

On commentary it was noted that Bryan Danielson was at home recovering with his family and Wheeler Yuta by his side.

Later in the show, Jon Moxley and his new group of Claudio Castagnoli, Pac and Marina Shafir attacked Komander, Private Party and three extras, before Pac reiterated that “diplomacy has failed” and AEW is “broken”.
