Jon Moxley ‘Final Death’ Match Announced AEW

AEW’s Jon Moxley is making his return to NJPW in July 2023, with his match having been officially announced.

With Moxley teaming with Homicide to take on the team of El Desperado & Jun Kasai in an Exciting Encounter Doomsday No DQ match on night one of NJPW Strong Independence Day, Moxley’s night two opponent has been revealed.

On the July 5 NJPW Strong show, Moxley will go one-on-one with El Desperado in a Final Death match, fulfilling the Blackpool Combat Club member’s challenge (which can be seen below).

The match is bound to be one for extreme wrestling fans, with Moxley himself describing it as:

“A match where there are no winners. A match where there is only a survivor.”
