AEW Star To Build ‘Hart Dungeon’ Style Training Facility

AEW Star To Build ‘Hart Dungeon’ Style Training Facility AEW

An AEW star has revealed their plans to build a modern take on the Hart Dungeon training facility in their home.

The Hart Dungeon was the legendary gym and wrestling school in the basement of the Hart family mansion and created by Stu Hart.

Among the graduates of The Dungeon were Chris Jericho, Jushin Thunder Liger, Davey Boy Smith, Edge, Christain, Lance Storm and Mark Henry.

WWE’s Natalya would be the first women to graduate from The Dungeon.

Graduating from the school was seen as a status symbol with the school being seen as a harsh training environment.

On The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Jon Moxley revealed his plans to create a modern take on the Hart Dungeon, saying:

“I’m building a physical location for the Blackpool Combat Club in my basement.

“It’s gonna be basically a Hart Dungeon kinda scenario. Very simple. Mat space, heavy bags, weights, simple.

“We’ll be able to train wrestlers here, we can train jiu-jitsu here, we can train anything here.”

Blackpool Combat Club currently consists of Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli.

With Moxley stating that it would be a training space for wrestlers, there can be little doubt of the calibre of training that would be on offer.

Jon Moxley had a lot to discuss on the episode of The Sessions following comments from CM Punk.
