Jon Moxley hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since taking a Buckshot Lariat from “Hangman” Adam Page on January 11 2023.
Following the AEW Dynamite match, officials checked on Moxley and he hasn’t been featured on AEW TV since.
During a backstage interview with Renee Paquette on the January 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Page revealed that he wanted to “knock out” Moxley on the February 1 episode of Dynamite taking place in Ohio.
Page’s opponent on AEW Rampage, Wheeler Yuta, would enter the picture to confirm that his Blackpool Combat Club teammate had been cleared to compete on February 1.
He would also reveal that Moxley had accepted the challenge.
Moxley is a three-time AEW World Champion having most recently lost the title to MJF at AEW Full Gear in November 2022.
MJF cashed in his Casino Poker Chip and would defeat Moxley in the main event with assistance from William Regal.
"Why do you think what happened to @JonMoxley, isn't going to happen to you too?" #HangmanAdamPage is taking on @WheelerYuta this FRIDAY on #AEWRampage!
