Top AEW Star’s Match Confirmed For NJPW Resurgence NJPW/AEW

NJPW Resurgence takes place on May 21 and a top AEW star’s match for the upcoming event has finally been confirmed.

It was previously reported that AEW’s Jon Moxley would be making his return to NJPW for the show in Long Beach, California.

With a card that also features Hiroshi Tanahashi facing Will Ospreay in an IWGP US title number one contender’s tournament match, Hikuleo defending the NJPW Strong Championship against KENTA and Mercedes Mone vs. Stephanie Vaquer along with Willow Nightingale vs. Momo Kohgo in the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship tournament first round, Moxley will be in action in a six-way match.

As confirmed by the official NJPW Twitter account, Moxley will join Wheeler Yuta and Shota Umino to take on Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii and Rocky Romero in a special six-man tag match.
