Kenny Omega has been one-to-watch for many years, not just in AEW but on the global stage, yet there’s one thing he doesn’t want to hear.
Despite having many praiseworthy matches throughout his career, Omega is steadfast in his awareness that he’s not the only factor at play in any encounter.
Speaking on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Omega revealed what he doesn’t like to hear, saying:
“Don’t ever say ‘Kenny you had the greatest match of all time.’
“I was just part of it. I had an opponent, a great crowd, a great ring. I had a good entrance, my opponent had a good entrance, the referee was selling the counts. It’s a team effort.”
He would also speak about rumors of a WWE move in the interview.
In the same interview, Omega also addressed the CM Punk incident that happened after AEW All Out.
Omega regularly features in the top end of Dave Meltzer’s star rating system for matches.
He doesn’t just perform as an onscreen talent in AEW, with Omega also discussing his role as an EVP and how other AEW talent relate to him.
