AEW’s Kenny Omega Return Opponent Revealed?

At the NJPW Power Struggle 2024 event, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega may have revealed his return opponent.

Kenny Omega made his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling at the Power Struggle 2024 event for the first time since Wrestle Kingdom 17 in 2023.

Omega cut an in-ring promo where he spoke about wanting to make his in-ring return as an AEW star in a NJPW ring.

Setting his sights on the Wrestle Dynasty show on January 5, 2025, Omega stated that he wanted to face one of the new stars of New Japan if he is cleared to compete.

After his in-ring promo, Kenny Omega got into a backstage fight with reigning NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd.

Omega and Kidd have traded barbs on social media earlier this year with the NJPW star calling out the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Omega has not wrestled since November 2023 last year in AEW after suffering diverticulitis, which has kept him out of the ring..

It remains to be seen if Kenny Omega will make his official in-ring return at Wrestle Dynasty at the time of this writing.
