AEW’s Killswitch (Luchasaurus) Hospitalised & On Oxygen Recovering From Pneumonia

AEW star Killswitch (Luchasaurus) is currently hospitalised and on oxygen recovering from double Pneumonia.

Fightful Select learned today that former AEW Trios, World Tag Team and TNT Champion Killswitch (Luchasaurus) is currently recovering after his fiancée found him collapsed on Friday, September 27.

Killswitch (real name Austin Matelson) was rushed to the hospital, where they found his blood oxygen below 80 percent, and determined that he had pneumonia in both of his lungs.

It was discovered that Matelson was days away from permanent lung damage.

Killswitch has been on oxygen in the days that have followed, with him being told to expect a recovery time of over a month, though his potential in-ring return is unclear.

Killswitch last competed at AEW All In London, where he was part of the AEW Trios Championship Ladder match, as well as a brief appearance in the Casino Gauntlet Match.

He is currently a member of the Patriarchy alongside Christian Cage, Nick Wayne and Shayna Wayne.
