AEW Star Stretchered Out Of Collision Taping Update AEW

An update has emerged on an injured AEW star after they fell from the turnbuckle at the recent Collision tapings.

As previously reported, Kota Ibushi was said to have suffered a fall from the turnbuckle during his match against Josh Alexander during the October 8 taping.

Reports indicated Ibushi fell to the outside of the ring, with medical professionals stretching him out of Daily’s Place.

An update has emerged on Ibushi’s injury, courtesy of PWInsider, with the word backstage reportedly being that the AEW star suffered a broken femur.

At the time of writing, no official announcement has been made on Ibushi’s injury.

The match was Ibushi’s first since the Lights Out Steel Cage at AEW Forbidden Door 2025 on August 24, and only his fifth in the company in 2025, having previously spent much of 2024 and early 2025 on the sidelines with injury.

A former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, it was recently reported that Ibushi had signed a new deal with AEW.

Ibushi made his AEW debut in July 2023 and would reunite with his Golden Lovers tag-team partner, Kenny Omega.

WrestleTalk wishes Kota Ibushi well in his recovery from injury and will provide further details as they emerge.
