AEW star Kyle O’Reilly has provided a big health update, revealing that he’s recovering from neck fusion surgery.
O’Reilly shared several posts to his Instagram story, one of which featured him in a hospital bed. Another post had a Ford Fusion advertisement re-labelled ‘neck fusion’.
The Undisputed Elite member last wrestled on the June 8 edition of Dynamite, losing to Jon Moxley in singles action. He, Adam Cole and Bobby Fish most recently appeared on AEW TV on the August 3 edition of Dynamite, turning on the Young Bucks.
In July, O’Reilly indicated that he was only just learning the extent of his injuries. More recently, Bobby Fish noted that neither O’Reilly or Cole are 100% healthy.
Bobby Fish is currently a free agent following his AEW contract expiring, so we might not get a full Undisputed Elite reunion on AEW TV even when everyone has healed up.
Both O’Reilly and Cole reportedly signed five-year contracts when joining the company, so are expected to be with the promotion for a while, unless they request their releases.
