Two notable AEW stars dropped their championship during the Tuesday, February 11 NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka event.

While Matthew and Nicholas Jackson haven’t wrestled on AEW TV since October 2024, the duo have been in action in Japan, where they recently picked up tag-team gold.

The Young Bucks defeated Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb and Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi to win the vacant IWGP Tag Team Championship at the January 5 Wrestle Dynasty crossover show.

This title reign is now over, with Naito and Takahashi winning the gold during NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka.

The World Tag League 2024 winners defeated Matthew and Nicholas Jackson after almost 10 minutes of action, in what was the Young Bucks’ first defence of the gold.
