AEW Stars Expected To Sign With WWE WWE/AEW

There is an ‘internal belief’ that The Lucha Brothers will be leaving AEW for WWE when their contracts expire later this year.

A report emerged online that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix were expected to be leaving AEW according to ‘multiple sources’ within the company.

The report by WrestlePurists went on to state that ‘some sources are spectulating they were heading to WWE’.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champions were also slated to be in the AEW World Trios Championship Match at All In on August 25 with plans now reportedly changed.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio has now provided further details on the future of The Lucha Brothers.

According to the report on F4W Online, there is an ‘internal belief within AEW’ that the pair would be leaving the company later this year and heading to WWE.

It was previously reported that Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract is set to expire ‘between August and September 2024.’

He went on to address the reports of WWE interest by saying that ‘it was only a rumor.

The Lucha Brothers made their first appearance for AEW back at the Ticket Announcement event on February 7, 2019.

They would face The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25, 2019.

To date, alongside the World Tag Team Championships, Fenix has held the AEW International Champion and the pair have held the AEW World Trios Championship with PAC.
