AEW Manager Files To Trademark Ring Name

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), an AEW talent has filed to trademark his ring name.

On June 22, Mark Sterling filed an application to trademark his name. As per the USPTO, Sterling filed the trademark for use in “entertainment services”.

The following description accompanied the filing:

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling, sports entertainment, and podcast personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling, sports entertainment, and podcast personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestling, sports entertainment, and podcast personality in the field of professional wrestling, sports entertainment, podcasting, and action figures for entertainment purposes

Sterling currently acts as the on-screen manager for Jade Cargill on AEW TV. Cargill is currently undefeated since teaming with Shaquille O’Neal in May. O’Neal has since revealed that he plans to return to wrestling this summer.

QT Marshall has revealed that before Cargill aligned herself with Sterling, he considered her for his stable, The Factory.
