An AEW Dynamite match has been described as the “most edited in AEW history” due to inappropriate behaviour from Impact tag champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the match had to be edited to make it fit for TV after the former WWE stars pretended to “jack off” in the ring.
“That was the most edited match in AEW history. Not because they botched moves, because Gallows and Anderson kept doing like ‘jacking off’ stuff and pot stuff. They had to edit all these references off of television. That’s the little secret of last Wednesday’s show.”
Speaking on the most recent episode of Being the Elite, The Young Bucks joked that they would have to “edit the hell out of that” match, so it seems everyone was aware that the match may not have been fit for TV in its raw form.
Part of the beauty of being able to pre-record shows is that things like this can be edited out ahead of Wednesday nights, but we’ll see if the heavy editing will make Gallows and Anderson think twice before repeating their behaviour.
