‘What The Literal F**k’: AEW Star Reacts To Backstage Confrontation

The February 26, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite saw Mercedes Mone get in the face of Billie Starkz, much to Athena’s annoyance.

As can be seen below this news story, Mercedes Mone was backstage addressing Momo Watanabe only to come face to face with Billie Starkz.

Asking if the former ROH Women’s World TV Champion had seen Watanabe, Mone would slap the cup out of Starkz’s hand, leaving her covered in liquid.

Not one to back down, Starkz would confront Mone about her actions, leading to a bitter exchange of words before Watanabe arrived on the scene to send the CEO running.

The interaction caught the attention of ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, who had an explicit message after seeing the treatment of her Minion, tweeting:

“What the literal f*ck….”

Mone hasn’t backed down, with the AEW TBS Champion replying:

Go put your puppy back on the leash, she needs more behavior training. #AEWDynamite

Both Mone and Athena have previously teased clashes, fuelling speculation that the duo will meet in a future championship match.

Athena is the longest-reigning ROH Women’s World Champion while Mone is over 270 days into her first reign, giving her the second longest reign after Jade Cargill’s 508 days.

Watanabe and Mone will face each other for the CEO’s TBS Championship at AEW Revolution on March 9, 2025.
