AEW’s Mercedes Mone Future Title Match Revealed?

An upcoming opponent for AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has potentially been revealed following ROH Final Battle 2024.

Red Velvet was in action during Friday’s (December 20) pay-per-view, defending her ROH Women’s TV Championship against Leila Hirsch.

During the post-show press conference, Velvet was asked about potential next challengers.

Telling Tony Khan to give her Mercedes Mone, Velvet said:

“Are we staying in Ring of Honor or can I say anybody? Anybody. TK, give me (Mercedes) Mone. Everybody wants it. Let’s go. Let’s make it happen. Let’s do it. Absolutely. Line them up.

“You know I always cook, Tony. He knows. Let’s keep cooking. Let’s bring them. I never turn down a challenge. I’m ready for anybody and everyone, so bring them. I’m ready. I’m hungry.”

Mone is already a double champion, holding both the AEW TBS and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship titles.

She is set to compete in a double title match at Wrestle Dynasty, defending her NJPW title against Mina Shirakawa, who will also put her RevPro British Women’s Championship on the line in this match if she’s still champion come January 5.
