AEW’s Mercedes Mone has plans to call up Naomi after Jade Cargill’s return at WWE Elimination Chamber on March 1, 2025.
Cargill returned during the women’s Elimination Chamber match, launching an attack on Naomi after being left beaten backstage in November 2024.
During a recent livestream, the AEW TBS Champion was asked about the possibility of Jade Cargill vs Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks in WWE).
The clip was shared on Twitter and can be seen below this news story, with Mone saying she’d have to call up her friend Naomi first, stating:
“Mercedes Moné vs. Jade [Cargill]. I gotta call up Naomi. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. We’ll see.
“I had a miss call earlier this morning so I have to see.”
Naomi was recently spotted at the Queen of the Ring red carpet premiere event sporting a neckbrace.
In the movie, Naomi plays Ethel Johnson, and was accompanied at the premiere by her husband, Jimmy Uso.
As for Cargill, she recently commented on her WWE return from legitimate injury in a video directed by NXT’s Ricky Saints (formerly Ricky Starks in AEW).
Cargill was the inaugural AEW TBS Champion, holding the title for 508 days, with Mone now over 280 days as champion.
Despite both sharing a period of time in AEW, Cargill and Mone never faced each other in the ring.
