AEW’s Mercedes Mone To Face Released WWE Star

A recently released WWE star has been announced for a match against AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, following her recent in-ring return.

Indi Hartwell was one of a number of WWE talents let go by the company in November 2024.

Following her return to the ring and championship victory earlier this month, Hartwell is set to clash with one of the most decorated women in wrestling.

Hartwell will face AEW star Mercedes Mone at Saturday night’s (March 15) HOG City of Dreamz event.

Triller TV announced the match on Twitter, writing:

While both women are champions, this bout appears to be a non-title affair.

In addition to holding the AEW TBS Championship, Mercedes Mone also holds the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

Hartwell returned to the ring on March 9, winning the Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Title from Aysha at the We Are Renegades event in Australia.

Mone’s most recent title defence saw her defeat Momo Watanabe to retain the AEW TBS Title at Revolution 2025.
