AEW
An alliance has been teased in another company for AEW star MJF, as he came face-to-face with a former opponent.
MJF was seen backstage in footage shared on official Major League Wrestling social media, following the AEW star’s appearance at MLW Summer of Beasts.
The June 26 show saw MJF attack CMLL’s Mistico, following their match at AEW Grand Slam Mexico earlier that month.
In backstage footage, MJF can be seen re-uniting with Hammerstone, with the pair having previously been members of The Dynasty along with Richard Holliday.
The footage was shared on Twitter, with the caption for the encounter reading:
“Real recognize real.”
In the footage, Hammerstone looks happy to see his former faction teammate, saying “well, well, well” before MJF walks into shot.
The AEW star would go on to greet Hammerstone with enthusiasm, saying:
“Hammer. You son of a b*tch”
The pair would ramp up the enthusiasm for each other, declaring themselves “Dynasty bros” before engaging in an elaborate fist bump and then embracing.
MJF would note that Hammerstone looks great, with the MLW star saying “it’s been too long”.
The AEW star may have taken things a bit too far when he grabbed Hammerstone’s pecs, stating:
“I haven’t felt these things in too long.”
Hammerstone would take exception to the contact, with MJF asking:
“It was… it was too much?”
The pair would agree that perhaps a fist bump is a more appropriate interaction for their first encounter in too long.
MJF would then bear hug Hammerstone, lifting the big man into the air as they both celebrated their reunion.
The Dynasty formed in February 2019, with MJF and Holliday being the initial members of the MLW team.
Hammerstone would join the duo in March that year, with the trio going on to hold multiple MLW championships.
Holliday would hold the MLW Caribbean Heavyweight Champion and, alongside MJF, the World Tag Team Championship.
Hammerstone would held both the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and National Openweight Championship.
Over in AEW, MJF recently joined The Hurt Syndicate, with his membership approved by MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley.
