Release Date For Hollywood Movie Featuring AEW’s MJF Confirmed AEW

The Netflix movie Happy Gilmore 2, starring Adam Sandler and also featuring AEW’s MJF has an official release date.

MJF’s involvement in the movie was revealed in September 2024, with no details on the role the AEW star would be playing in the sequel to the 1996 comedy.

The December 2024 trailer would give us a glimpse at MJF in the movie, following reports that he will be playing one of Gilmore’s sons.

The most recent trailer gives us another look at MJF, again very briefly, along with a release date on Netflix.

As can be seen in the trailer at this link, Happy Gilmore 2 will come to the streaming platform on July 25, 2025.

MJF can be spotted in the trailer around 35 seconds in, jumping around in a group of people including Sandler’s Happy Gilmore.

MJF isn’t the only wrestler to be in the movie, with Becky Lynch also having a supporting role according to a recent report.

The report notes that Lynch is set to portray a golfer in the movie, being among a group that also features NFL legend Reggie Bush.

Lynch is still absent from WWE television having last been seen on the May 27, 2024 episode of Raw.

Under contract with WWE, Lynch was recently seen at International Wrestling Revolution Group in Mexico.

Bad Bunny also features in the movie as Gilmore’s caddie, with Ben Stiller among the cast returning for the sequel.

Alongside Sandler, Tim Herlihy returned to write the sequel, having worked with the star as far back as the 1995 movie Billy Madison.
