A World Championship match for MJF at the new AEW pay-per-view Worlds End on December 30 has been revealed.
Accompanying AEW World Champion MJF in front of an excited Chicago live crowd, Adam Cole appeared again, on crutches.
With Cole sharing that he wouldn’t be back in-ring action anytime soon, Samoa Joe joined the conversation and was ready to encourage MJF to keep his word.
Actually aligning with Samoa Joe, Adam Cole encouraged the champ to keep his word and grant Joe a title shot after he helped MJF retain the ROH tag titles at Full Gear against The Gunns.
After a continued back and forth exchange with MJF even offering to face off against Samoa Joe tonight in Chicago, Samoa Joe had other ideas.
He didn’t want to face a one-legged MJF because Samoa Joe wanted his victory to be conclusive and leave no margin for Max to ‘whine on the internet’.
However, Samoa Joe figured by AEW Worlds End on December 30 in Long Island, NY MJF should be ‘feeling chipper’.
MJF and Samoa Joe would go on to be confirmed for an AEW World Championship match at AEW Worlds End in Long Island, NY on December 30, 2023.
MJF will of course been a massive hometown hero at that show.
