AEW Getting ‘More Aggressive’ In Major Stars’ Contract Negotiations AEW

A new update has emerged on negotiations between EVPs Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson with AEW over new contracts.

With Omega and the Young Bucks’ AEW deals set to expire in late-2023, there has been a lot of speculation about the futures of these Elite-members.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW is getting ‘more aggressive’ in contract talks:

AEW is getting more aggressive in trying to get the contracts of the Young Bucks & Kenny Omega completed.

In a recent interview, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide booker Konnan stated that Kenny Omega was unavailable the recent TripleMania event as he didn’t want to commit to a show while negotiating a new deal with AEW.

While at this time Konnan assumed that Omega had signed a new deal with AEW, this was not the case.

Omega is reportedly still working under AEW contract, with his original deal extended due to his in-ring hiatus due to injuries.

The former AEW World Champion stepped away from the ring in November 2021 and only made his in-ring return in the AEW Trios Title tournament in August 2022.

Omega and the Young Bucks last wrestled at Double or Nothing 2023, teaming with Hangman Page to battle Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in an Anarchy in the Arena bout.

Details have emerged on the T-Mobile Arena shutting down pitches for spots in this match, which you can read more about right here.
