Late last year, current AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill got into a social media feud with rapper Bow Wow.
The feud took place primarily on Twitter, before becoming an angle on AEW television.
Cargill confronted Bow Wow backstage at a concert in footage that was aired on AEW Dynamite.
Bow Wow himself then appeared in a video on the November 30, 2022 episode of Dynamite, where he told Jade that he would ‘see her soon’ and teased bringing in an opponent for the TBS Champion.
Since then, there has been no follow up appearance from Bow Wow on AEW television, with Jade saying that her lawyer, Mark Sterling, would deal with him if he sent her another message.
Jade recently spoke to Bootleg Kev, where she was asked about the story with Bow Wow.
She said:
“I don’t know what happened with it. Something was supposed to happen, it didn’t happen, and we moved on from the situation.”
Jade currently reigns as the 49-0 undefeated TBS Champion in the company.
She recently became the longest reigning champion in AEW history, surpassing the AEW Women’s World Championship reign of Hikaru Shida.
