AEW’s MVP & Bobby Lashley Address Hurt Business Not Getting A ‘Proper Ending’ In WWE WWE

AEW stars MVP and Bobby Lashley have addressed Hurt Business not getting a “proper ending” during their time in WWE.

On the October 30 Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite, Bobby Lashley made his long awaited debut with the company and aligned with MVP and Shelton Benjamin to form the Hurt Syndicate.

The three men were previously members of the Hurt Business with Cedric Alexander in WWE from 2020 to 2021.

In a new interview with Renee Paquette, MVP addressed why The Hurt Syndicate reformed in AEW. Explaining the origins of the Hurt Business and how the idea was ended too soon in WWE, MVP said:

“Unfortunately, it was ended long before anyone was ready for it to end. We felt that we wanted to give our story the proper ending that it deserved,”

“Tony Khan was kind enough to allow us to bring our conglomerate here.”

On the fans wanting to bring The Hurt Syndicate back together after their WWE run, Bobby Lashley said:

“The fans wanted us back. Any time I posted something, at least one comment would say Hurt Business, Hurt Business, Hurt Business.”

“They always wanted to see us get back together because it was something that was real. We hung out together, we work out together…this is the perfect opportunity to do it again.”

Bobby Lashley will face Swerve Strickland in a first ever meeting on Saturday, November 23 at AEW Full Gear 2024.
